This box contains activities and games designed to support children in the beginning stages of reading and focuses on short vowels and CVC words.  This is one of a series of boxes designed to help support your student while they are learning to read.  Our next box focuses on blends and digraphs, and the following box focuses on v-e, or magic/silent e.  We will continue to add boxes as the year progresses.  Each box is designed to support your child for 6-8 weeks, and then they would be ready for the next box.  Each child has their own learning pace and this time frame is just an estimate.  It does not matter what type of program your child is using at school; this will support the phonics portion of learning to read.
